The ReadingFreecycle 24 Hour Club
Our ReadingFreecycle "24 Hour Club" is not like other clubs that you have to join. When someone says
"I'm a member of the 24 Hour Club," it's just a fun way of telling everyone that they are going
to wait at least 24 hours before deciding who to give this particular item to.
Here's an excerpt from our ReadingFreecycle rules:
You're NOT obligated to give your item to the first person that responds to your offer - it's your item and you can give it to anyone you want!
If you're in a big hurry to get rid of an item, it's perfectly OK to give it to the first person that asks for it.
But if you're not in a huge hurry, we STRONGLY recommend that you wait
at least 24 hours before deciding who to give it to.
Remember, people read their emails and postings in the MESSAGES section of our website at many different
hours of the day. If you wait 24 hours to make a decision, you'll be giving everyone in our group a fair opportunity
to respond to your offer. Then if you get more than one response to your posting, you can choose who you
want to give your item to.
